Maxpedia
October 5th, 2005
My brother Aaron sent me a text message earlier today that pretty much sums up the Maxpedia experience:
wap encyclopedia with unlimited data is like having a real hitch hikers guide
(Link added.) I haven’t subscribed to my carrier’s data plan for a while, but it sounds pretty sweet.

Oh man…you have no idea. Think about T-Mo when you switch. $5.99 all I can eat data, and I can eat a lot of data. AIM, GMail, and Wikipedia all work (after a fashion)…and hell, that’s 85% of my internet use right there. It’s amazing how patient I am with the 9600bps or whatever it is connection.

There is another service offering mobile access to the wikipedia: Wapedia. Not only for mobile phones, but also for PDAs and Blackberrys. http://www.en.wapedia.org
